The Compass Swing Dispersal

There were 46 spectacle dispersal bays along with a compass swing dispersal on the northern perry track, close to the site of the formal Technical area, now the site of the Chelworth Industrial Estate,

None of the spectacle dispersals remain totally intact, the best preserved is the compass swing.  There is no evidence of a swing platform ever being built, and some of the area was used as a testing location for radio communications during the cold war phase.
